Some desynthesis materials are quite valuable to endgame crafters as they try to craft the latest tier of recipes, so you could end up making a lot of gil, especially early on in the tier. The equipment drops in these dungeons will give you a lot of grand company seals if traded in, or you can desynthesize them for a supply of crafting materials. Not only is this method a low time investment (~2.5 hours/week), it also means you’ll be running the latest dungeons, building up a bit of materia to put in your new equipment, or to sell/transmutate. If you’re flexible with your Jobs, keep an eye on the Adventurer in Need bonus (it’s most often Tank) for a quick queue and extra gil. In my opinion, the most time efficient way to collect your Revelation is to complete the Expert Roulette at least five days out of the week, for 90 Tomestones each. If you want to maximize your resources then make sure you hit that weekly cap or you’ll miss out on some potential buying power. When a new Tomestone type is introduced, it kind of just slides everything else down one tier. If you’ve been doing endgame content in previous patches, you’ll be familiar with the concept of unlimited and limited (weekly capped) Tomestones. I’ll briefly go over which gear to prioritize buying first, depending on a couple different types of goals. Patch 5.4 of FFXIV brought us a new tier of Tomestones for players to earn and spend on new high-end combat equipment.
